The San Bernardino County Jail is under the control of the Detention and Corrections Bureau. There are four jail locations. The High Desert Detention Center can house 2,100 inmates. The West Valley Detention Center has a maximum capacity of 3,347 inmates. At the Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center, the capacity of male inmates is 1,446, while the maximum capacity for female inmates is 326. The Central Detention Center houses approximately 200 federal inmates and 600 county inmates.
